REMOVABLE PROSTHODONTICS
Removable prosthodontics is the specialty of dentistry that deals with prosthetic restorations which the patient himself can extract from his or her oral cavity, and it includes:
Fully removable dentures of upper and lower jaw. Partial removable dentures of the upper or lower jaw. Repairs of partial or full dentures. Re-application and repairs of partial or full dentures.
The disadvantages are the (relative) size, the mobile nature and, in some cases fixing the denture so that it does not move in the mouth, but they benefit in cost.
FIXED PROSTHODONTICS
Fixed prosthodontics is the specialty in dentistry that deals with prosthetic restorations, which are placed in the patient's mouth permanently, and the patient cannot extract them from his or her oral cavity:
Crown or bridge with precious or not, metal, and porcelain coating. Crown or bridge with precious or not, metal, and acrylic coating. Crown or bridge with acrylic (temporary).
